Senior DevOps Engineer

The Beryl HQ is located at the top floor of The Green House in East London, a property managed by The Ethical Property Company. 

We are open to fully remote applications (UK-based), based in our London HQ, or anywhere in between. 


● Setting up and maintaining a CD platform for zero-downtime deployments 
● Managing test coverage and highlighting areas for improvement
● Managing API SLO/SLAs 
● Owning the incident management process and configuring tools
● Managing system capacity, availability and stability 
● Second-line support, assisting customer service staff in resolving technical issues
● Responding to system-generated alerts, issue diagnosis, triage and resolution 
● Continuous improvement of system monitoring tools 
● Maintaining security of our services including library and patch management 
● Specifying and implementing tools and processes to manage and maintain the codebase (such as static code analysis tools)

Skills and experience 


● Kubernetes configuration, management and deployment experience (including auto-scaling) 
● CI/CD configuration 
● Building and managing Docker containers 
● Experience with monitoring and tracing tools 
● Configuring error reporting tools 
● Monitoring and improving system performance 
● Building and maintaining end-to-end integration tests
● Setting up incident management processes 
● Infrastructure-as-Code / orchestration tools 
● Securing microservices and environments 

Nice to have 

● Familiarity with Google Cloud / Firebase services 
● CI/CD configuration for React Native, JavaScript and Python projects
