The Role

Here at Beryl we are looking for a talented Regional Operations Manager to join us to oversee the excellent bike share and e-scooter scheme in Norwich and to lead the ever growing scheme as we expand as a bike and e-scooter share scheme provider.

Our new Regional Operations Manager will manage the day-to-day operations for the Beryl Bike Share and e-scooter scheme.

Ad hoc, and scheduled maintenance, including but not limited to;

  • With technical support from the wider Beryl team you will manage day to day operations ensuring the scheme is safe and responds to the needs of the local communities. 
  • Developing local strategies to maximise the use of the cycles.
  • Maintaining a fleet of bikes, e-bikes & e-scooters.
  • Troubleshooting problems and contributing to continued service improvement.
  • Supporting expansions of the scheme.
  • Creating a safe and supportive work environment for the whole of your team.
  • Managing teams of mechanics, building a relationship with all of them individually whilst making sure all processes are followed.
  • Manage the training process with HR, ensuring all the team members are growing with Beryl.
  • Liaise and manage local contractors to carry out work on our behalf.
  • Working with local stakeholders (council/businesses/police) to manage day to day operations for the different schemes under your guidance.
  • Managing inventory and stock
  • A history of being comfortable through business experience of dealing with our key clients face to face to keep the beryl wheels moving.


Skills and Experience
Applicants must be able to demonstrate;

  • History of good communication and people management skills.
  • Experience solving complex problems through creative means.
  • A passion for bikes and environmentally friendly transport.
  • Experience of managing a team and being part of a larger team.
  • History of bike mechanics, ability to get involved in servicing and repairs is advantageous but not essential.
  • Ability to work in a technology led environment.
