HR Director (Part-Time)

Beryl is at an incredibly exciting stage of our growth as we look to launch Bikeshare operations in 2019!  We are looking for an HR & People Director to help us ensure our current team is best positioned for the challenge and to help us attract more, incredible, talented people to the ride.


What will you be doing?
  • Oversee the formulation and delivery of the long-term Beryl People Strategy and Plan, aligned with the Company’s business strategy and goals
  • Work closely with the operations, development and functional leaders to recruit and align the ‘People Roadmap’ with business strategy to build inspiring and talented teams.
  • Lead on people decisions, training of the managers on HR topics, ensuring our policies and processes reflect the law and our values and we live by them
  • Drive efforts to further embed our unique culture and values to promote diversity & inclusion across all our offices
  • Reporting to the Finance Director as part of the Internal Operations team you will be a valued member of the Senior Management Team.
  • Lead succession planning and people review meetings driving subsequent actions with Learning for Development
  • Ensure leadership capability is optimum and development plans are in place for leadership teams
  • Work with our People and Culture Manager to create an approach to EVP and recruitment that builds our employee brand and enables us to foster top talent.
  • Own HR-related change initiatives. Compliance, MVP etc.

    What are we looking for?
    • A proven track record in people/ HR related role - You’ve ideally been a HR Head/Director/VP level in another fast-growing start-up and know what it takes to support brilliant people.
    • Broad commercial and business understanding with proven track record of successful project management.
    • Ability to analyse data, draw accurate conclusions and communicate key messages succinctly
    • Deep knowledge of HR compliance and GDPR regulations
    • You embody proactivity, with a can-do roll-your-sleeves-up attitude, and don’t wait around to be told what to do!

    We are offering this role as a 25 hour week, with a pro-rata salary and holiday package.
