Teams which support the infrastructure of the business also play a key role in our success,  from Operations, Finance and People, to Business Development, Sales and Marketing. Our network of bike workshops are strategically positioned to support our local markets, all underpinned by a dedicated customer service team...

THE ROLE:

  • Supporting the implementation of new schemes, by working with local authorities to research and identify local goals, and action them. 
  • Act as a liaison between local authorities and Beryl’s operations and design teams.
  • Be comfortable writing entire tender responses or contributing as one of multiple workstreams to deliver tenders on time.
  • Facilitating community engagement sessions. 
  • Advance Beryl’s advocacy of cycling in the UK through the building of strong relationships with government officials and local activists. 
  • Attend presentations and negotiations with clients.
  • Coordinate responses and mobilisation efforts with operational teams in order to deliver bid outcomes successfully to customers.
  • Supporting internal Beryl teams with research on transport and city planning best practice. 

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Strong analytical skills with good attention to detail with an ability to interpret information to derive business outcomes or solutions
  • A strong understanding and passion for growing the role of sustainable transport.
  • If you ride bikes, or have a passion for sustainable transport that is a massive bonus
  • Be happy contributing to the culture and wellbeing of the workplace and your colleagues
  • Enthusiastic relationship builder, capable of representing the company at events and presentations

THE REQUIRED SKILLS / BACKGROUND 

  • Masters degree in a related field such as transport planning, geography or Smart Cities and Urban Analytics
  • 2 years + experience working with/in at or selling into the public sector.
  • Dealing with tender processes and managing submissions with senior colleagues.
  • Experience of writing bids including government tenders;
  • Experience working on transportation projects in cities of varying sizes 
  • Previous experience working with public sectors to research and implement transport projects
