The role:

The Campaigns & Partnerships Lead will be responsible for developing activities and initiatives with partners, corporate brands, community groups and charities, that drive engagement, acquisition, ridership and revenue. To a large extent this will involve selling membership packages to businesses and organisations within our operating areas.

They will work within our growth team and will champion the collaborative activity that enables core business growth. Working closely with our local authority partners to develop, deliver and report on marketing campaigns and initiatives throughout the year. Developing collaborative campaigns with corporate brands on creative branding initiatives, successful acquisition campaigns, corporate memberships and more. Driving forward partnerships with organisations that align with Beryl’s core values and aims. 

For example, this person would work to continually develop collaborations such as our recent partnership with the two main Universities in Bournemouth, which this academic year launched with a match-funded promotion and will develop to enact student and staff discounts & engagement events. Alongside opportunities to drive revenue through ad sales, co-branded activity, affiliate partnerships and more. 

The role can be fully remote (UK-based), based out of our London HQ or a combination of both. Performance of the role would benefit from travel across Beryl cities, however most people are working from home at the moment and we'll be doing this for the foreseeable future. We'll consider a range of working set ups that best support a candidate's current situation.

Responsibilities:

  • Annual goal of selling 250k+ revenue through partnerships and campaigns.
  • Developing Beryl led campaigns at key moments throughout the calendar year that drive core business aims
  • Working closely with wider growth team to pick up opportunities for collaborations and partnerships and ensuring maximum impact
  • Creating & delivering campaign mechanisms that drive core business aims (ridership and revenue growth)
  • Creating and delivering campaign mechanisms that align to brand/ethos/identity at Beryl & developing CSR aims
  • Pitching campaigns and initiatives to local and corporate partners
  • Developing commercial model to best support business outcomes
  • Stakeholder management throughout campaigns ensuring all parties are looped in 
  • Reporting on results and impact
  • Continual improvement of materials such as: testimonials, success stories, pitch decks, rate cards etc. 
  • Supporting a calendar of partner events and activities
  • Maintaining relationships with key local partners
  • Maintaining a tracker of key partners at local and national level and regularly updating status and activity. 
  • Maintaining relationships with groups and individuals working in the same space (increasing cycling, encouraging exercise/sport, environmental or sustainability groups)
  • Coordinating logistics for events with local teams: when, where and how many bikes; ordering materials required, organise staff rota
  • Organise promotion of events/campaigns/initiatives including briefing design for promotional materials, sharing images/digital posters and example copy with partners, design & order of merchandise.

 

Skills and experience:

While the ideal candidate should fulfil most of the list below, we know that ideal candidates rarely exist, so will consider all applications from people keen on learning to fill in any gaps.

  • Previous B2B sales/partnerships experience, preferably in a start-up, mobility/transport or green-tech industry
  • Project management - pitching through to reporting
  • Stakeholder engagement
  • Solid understanding of sales & commercial relationships
  • Solid understanding of CSR and community engagement
  • Strong relationship building and influencing skills, especially with senior leaders.
  • Understanding of working in partnership with local councils & the UK political landscape.
  • Proactive and highly skilled at executing multiple complex projects with strong project and timeline management.
  • Highly collaborative & skilled in gaining insights across multiple fast moving departments & projects. 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field or equivalent experience in prior roles.
